The gorge does not only offer us a physical walk, but also an imaginary one. The location did not only have a strong visual impact on the artist, but with its strong roaring of the waterfalls also caused that he went into the depths of his mind. During the evening, in absolute darkness, the experience of the gorge and its sounds is even more unique. The artwork Moments 2022 is an installation of very strong visual ambience for this unique site. Contrasts with colours and reflections from the water will create the unseen experience that we will remember for a long time.

Zorlu Center is the second largest shopping center in Europe. "Light Is Here" required nearly 700 light fixtures for its production. I took my core crew from Finland. The technical team of the Istanbul Light Festival assisted in the construction of the artwork. The schedule was extremely tight, so I took a special task force with me whose proficiency I can count on 100 per cent. \
\
This piece was located in an interesting and unique geographical setting - Istanbul is the only city in the world that stands on two continents. My work was viewed from both Europe and Asia.

This massive piece was generated onto the banks of River Wear that runs through the city centre. The River Wear was a pivotal Durham landmark. Kola created an absorbing contrast to the natural beauty of the river and its surroundings, with a 360-degree installation using customized soundscape and captivating light. Delight in the riverside landscape transformed into a dreamlike wonderland. Soundscape was composed by a Finnish Sound Designer Heikki Savolainen.

Franzensfeste Fortress, the largest historical complex in South Tyrol, located next to a river at which the artist presents another installation, serves as a great inspiration for the artist and a connection with the project Sounds of the River, on view at the city of Brixen. \
\
The installation is based on very slowly changing colours that will transform the whole area. Different layers of the fortress will be used, creating a strong contrast with how the fortress looks like and is perceived during the day. A site, that sparked the inspiration of the artist with its history of being a military fortress which was not in use and that changed its function to become home for the arts and exhibitions, therefore the goal of the artist is to create abstract, painting-like images, to reflect the diverse \
history of the site.

The themes of the artwork are light and darkness, day and night, the sun and the moon. - I was honored that I was invited to take part in the first International Day of Light Flagship Event and bring light art as one part of this thematic day. I was really delighted about the opportunity to be one of the speakers on this Flagship Event, as well. \

The International Day of Light will provide an annual focal point for the continued appreciation of the central role that light plays in the lives of the citizens of the world in areas of science, culture and art, education, sustainable development, and in fields as diverse as medicine, communications and energy.

I used more than 200 hi-power LEDs, 12 big videoprojectors (video content by Nuno Maya) and hazers. I also composed the artwork soundscape and produced this project. I did allso production on this project.

LIGHT OF MY LIFE
I've been interested in light for as long as I can remember. Light is everywhere and it affects the world and our daily lives in many ways. I'm from Finland and here the autumns and the winters last long and these seasons are very dark. I wanted to teach myself to use light to be able to utilize the darkness that surrounds me during those seasons. That's why I became who I am. A Light Artist.
I have worked with light for around 17 years and I have generated over 2,000 projects on a leading role. I've worked with many historical castles and places and I'm specialized in working with these type of vulnerable sites. I have created light installations to several unique sites like UNESCO HQ, Stonehenge, Villa de Laak, Saana Mountain. I have worked both as a Technical and an Artistic Leader in several productions including festivals, operas, musicals, multi-art performances and opening ceremonies. These projects have been executed on both, a national and international level.
Light is a really powerful tool and I believe that we can draw focus to any site, city or value using light art. My plan is to work on an unseen scale with unique sites and to push the limits of light art into new dimensions. This will create a new level of impact in raising awareness on many topics.
My motto is: "Nothing is impossible; it is just a matter of deciding how much you want to use your energy towards achieving it".
